libapr-memcache-dev software package provides memcache client - development libraries, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libapr-memcache-dev
libapr-memcache-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libapr-memcache-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libapr-memcache-dev *
You will get with libapr-memcache-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
